As a lowboy truck driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a lowboy truck to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and other oversized loads to various destinations. Position: Lowboy Trailer Truck Driver

Location: Toledo, Ohio Area

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads using a lowboy truck.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and other essential components.
• Secure the cargo properly using chains, binders, and other necessary equipment to ensure stability during transportation..
• Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including trip logs, fuel consumption, and any incidents or damages that occur during transportation.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the truck and equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering cargo in a timely manner and handling any inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a flatbed or lowboy truck driver.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in securement techniques for various types of cargo.
• Ability to effectively operate lowboy truck equipment, such as straps, chains, and binders.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while on the road.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes as required.
